Master of Theology
This program has been designed to enhance the educational benefits of those who
are either currently in or desire to be in the pastorate. The Master of Theology
degree requires 36 hours of graduate level instruction above the Bachelor’s
degree.
1. Research (9 credits)
—Communicate with 20 different preachers concerning a particular
aspect of ministry (subject to approval by SBBC staff).
—Document communications in journal
—Write report at least 100 pages
2a. Read (9 credits)
—Read 20 books. Book list prepared by student and pre-approved
by school.
—Document reading in journal
—Write book review for each

2b. Three undergraduate online classes, not previously taken with extra
home work. (9 credits)
3. Class work (18 credits)
Saturday Intensives (3 credit hours each 3 per year for 2 years) taught
only by men with doctorates and designed for them. This should require
about 2 hours of homework per hour of classroom time.
